Title: General Partner, Global Operations

The General Partner/Global Operations will be accountable for developing relationships (i.e. increasing repeat business) with assigned Customers through excellence of project delivery of awarded projects whilst maintaining bid profitability for both existing and future projects.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Frequent and routine (e.g. monthly) face-to-face and remote liaison with Customer contacts to review and discuss status (e.g. project successes, issues, opportunities) of awarded and future projects
  • Networking within Customer to extend contacts and develop business opportunities for the customer
  • Requests Sales personnel from Business Development to support the development of business with assigned Customers NOTE: less senior resources will be assigned to "developed" accounts whereas more senior Business Development staff will be assigned to "developing"/incubator accounts
  • Ensures maintenance of bid profitability through thorough review of projections of revenue, estimates of cost to complete and timely execution of contract modifications for awarded projects and by review and approval of price and cost of budgets for new business. Create action plans to minimize inefficiencies when recovery from the customer is not possible
  • Senior point of escalation (internal and external) for resolution of issues and conflicts (e.g. escalation from Project Status Reviews). Resolutions reached through liaison with General Partner colleagues, other peer groups, further internal escalation to Executive VP, and/or Customer negotiation as appropriate.
  • Member of Executive Oversight Committees for assigned Customers as requested
  • Senior reviewer/approver for proposals of > $ to be determined or appropriate strategic value
  • Participation in bid defense meetings for opportunities of > $ to be determined or appropriate strategic value
  • Line-management of assigned Directors, Project Delivery


  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution or international equivalent degree. An advanced degree is preferred
  • Business related coursework (management, marketing, accounting, budgets, personnel management, negotiation skills, etc.) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with clinical project development process, financial management tools, regulatory compliance (international conference on harmonization (ICH) - good clinical practices (GCP), data management, project scheduling and resource management, coordinating and scheduling team activities
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English, fluency in the language of the host country required
  • Travel up to 20-80%
