Daniel M. Perlman (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer) served as Vice President, Operating Specialties, Kforce Inc. (NASDAQ: KFRC), prior to joining RPS in 1998, where he started the contract staffing divisions in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, engineering, legal and scientific industries; helping the company to an IPO in 1995. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Perlman served as Managing Director of a local division of CDI where he specialized in pharmaceutical outsourcing. In addition to his 17 years of experience in providing outsourcing services to the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Perlman worked his way through a private label division of Goodyear where he last served as Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Private Label Division. From 1985 until 1990, Mr. Perlman was President of TKA, a medium-sized tire company in eastern Pennsylvania. Mr. Perlman has served as chairman for multiple clinical association events including R&D Directions and Partnerships with CROs. He graduated from The Haverford School (1974) and University of Pennsylvania Wharton School (1979).
Harris Koffer, Pharm.D. (President and Chief Operating Officer) joined RPS in July 2006 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining RPS, Dr. Koffer served as Corporate Executive Vice President and President, Cardiac Safety Services, for Medifacts International; Vice President, Clinical Trials and Pharmaceutical Business Development, for Quest Diagnostics; Vice President and General Manager of Covance Clinical Services and President of Covance Periapproval Services. In these roles, he was responsible for global central laboratory services as well as full service clinical research and development capabilities for Phase I through IV of drug development. In addition to over 25 years of experience in clinical drug development, he has served as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. Dr. Koffer has published and presented numerous papers in the fields of cardiovascular clinical pharmacology and pharmacoeconomics. He earned both a bachelor of science in pharmacy and a doctor of pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and completed a Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Daniel Raynor is a managing partner of The Argentum Group, a private equity firm, a position he has held since co-founding the firm in 1987. Mr. Raynor also serves as a director of NuCO2, Inc. and Comforce, Inc., which are reporting companies under the Exchange Act. In addition, Mr. Raynor serves on the boards of several privately-held companies. He received a B.S. in economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
James Robert Macdonald is a Managing Director of First Analysis Corporation, an investment research and private equity management company. Mr. Macdonald joined First Analysis in 1997. Prior to that, he was employed by Nalco Chemical Company from 1983 to 1997. Mr. Macdonald is on the boards of several other private companies as part of his private equity investment role with First Analysis. Mr. Macdonald graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Stephen
E. Stonefield has served as Executive Chairman of
Precise Asset Management Pte. Ltd. since 2004. In 2003, Mr.
Stonefield retired after three decades of senior positions
in investment banking, largely in Asia, most recently as Chairman,
Pacific Region, of Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), and
former Vice-Chairman and member of the Executive Board of
CSFB. Prior to CSFB, Mr. Stonefield was a Managing Director
at Smith Barney in New York, where he was head of Equity Capital
Markets and Financing Services and a member of the Firm’s
Steering Committee. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director
at Morgan Stanley in Tokyo and New York. He began his career
in finance at Continental Illinois Ltd. Mr. Stonefield has
also served as a member of the Economic Review Committee for
financial services in Singapore, the Securities Industry Council
of Singapore, and as a member of the International Advisory
Board Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in Malaysia. Mr. Stonefield
graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College and has an
M.A. from Harvard University.
Jack
H. Dean, Ph.D. has significant experience in pharmaceuticals
research and development with 18 years experience in drug
development with Sanofi-Aventis and over 35 years of research
management experience including the National Institutes of
Health. Dr. Dean retired in January 2006 as the President
of U.S. Science and Medical Affairs at Sanofi-Aventis and
the Global Director of Preclinical Development for Sanofi-Aventis,
SA. Dr. Dean is currently a director of Drug Development Advisors,
LLC, his consulting organization, and was previously a director
of Sanofi-Synthelabo CRU, a subsidiary of Sanofi-Synthelabo,
Inc.
Warren
W. Myers has over 20 years of management experience
in the pharmaceuticals market. Mr. Myers presently serves
as a consultant to the bio-pharmaceutical industry, and most
recently was the Executive Director, Strategic Sourcing and
Procurement at Amgen Inc. serving Amgen’s Research and Development
organization.
Peter
M. Yu is a founder and the Managing Partner of Cartesian
Capital Group, LLC, a global private equity firm with more
than $1 billion under management. Prior to founding Cartesian,
Mr. Yu founded and served as President and CEO of AIG Capital
Partners, a global private equity firm with $4.5 billion under
management. In addition, Mr. Yu is currently a director of
Cartesian Asset Management, LLC., and was formerly a director
of Brasil Media Exterior and Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes
S.A.
Thomas
R. Armstrong is a founder and Partner at Cartesian
Capital Group, LLC. Prior to founding Cartesian, Mr. Armstrong
served as Senior Advisor to AIG Capital Partners from 1999
until 2005. Prior to that Mr. Armstrong was COO and a founding
partner and director of Advent International Corporation.
In addition, Mr. Armstrong is currently a partner of Technology,
Research and Education Associates and a director of SCM Private
Equity Ltd and SCM Private Equity II Ltd and was previously
a partner of Echelon Ventures II Management and a co-founder
and former director of Thrasos Therapeutics, Inc. and former
director of Lexent Technologies, Inc.
